चक्रम् अस्त्रं च वार्ष्णेयो विसृजन् युधि वीर्यवान् ॥
त्रिषु लोकेषु तन् नास्ति यन् न जीयाज् जनार्दनः ॥
गाण्डीवं धनुर् आदाय तथाक्षय्यौ महेषुधी ॥
अहम् अप्य् उत्सहे लोकान् विजेतुं युधि पावक ॥

Traducción
Arjuna said: "Varshneya, hurling the discus-weapon in battle, valiant, — in the three worlds there is nothing that Janardana could not conquer; taking up the bow Gandiva and the two inexhaustible great quivers, I too dare to conquer all the worlds in battle, O Pavaka."

Here Arjuna first glorifies the might of Krishna, and only then his own. It is significant that he places Janardana's invincibility first and his own after: the devotee exalts the Lord before himself. Here is the humility of strength, one that recognizes in the Lord the source of every victory. Thus the scripture reveals Arjuna's reverence; and his confidence rests on his closeness to Krishna.
