त्वयापो विहिताः पूर्वं त्वयि सर्वम् इदं जगत् ॥
त्वयि हव्यं च कव्यं च यथावत् संप्रतिष्ठितम् ॥
अग्ने त्वम् एव ज्वलनस् त्वं धाता त्वं बृहस्पतिः ॥
त्वम् अश्विनौ यमौ मित्रः सोमस् त्वम् असि चानिलः ॥
tvayāpo vihitāḥ pūrvaṃ tvayi sarvam idaṃ jagat ||
tvayi havyaṃ ca kavyaṃ ca yathāvat saṃpratiṣṭhitam ||
agne tvam eva jvalanas tvaṃ dhātā tvaṃ bṛhaspatiḥ ||
tvam aśvinau yamau mitraḥ somas tvam asi cānilaḥ ||
"By you the waters were ordained of old; in you is this whole world; in you both the havya [offered to the gods] and the kavya [offered to the ancestors] are duly established; O Agni, you are the very flame; you are Dhatri, you are Brihaspati; you are the two Ashvins, the twins, Mitra, Soma, and you are the wind."

Here all the gods are beheld as the one Agni. It is telling that the one who praises him identifies with Agni both Dhatri and Brihaspati, both the Ashvins and Soma: all the deities are faces of the one. Thus it is disclosed that the many gods of scripture rise back to a single source, manifest in many forms; and behind all names stands one Lord. So the scripture reveals the unity of the divine; and Mandapala's praise ascends to the One present in many faces.
