लोकोक्रोभीरुत्वाद् र्मराजो हाशाः
चिन्तयन् हाबाहुः शैनेस्य थं प्रति
वीं प्रेषितश् चै ल्गुस्य या णे
शैनेयः सात्यकिः त्यो मित्राणाम् यंरः
तद् दं ह्य् कम् वासीद् द्विधा जातं माद्य वै
सात्यकिश् हि मे ज्ञेयः पाण्डवश् नंयः
सात्यकिं प्रेयित्वा तु पाण्डस्य दानुगम्
सात्वस्यापि कं युद्धे प्रेयिष्ये दानुगम्

lokopakrośabhīrutvād dharmajo mayaśāḥ ||
acintayan mahuḥ śaineyasya rathaṃ prati ||
padavīṃ preṣitaś caiva phalgunasya ma raṇe ||
śaineyaḥ tyakiḥ satyo mitrāṇām abhayaṃkaraḥ ||
tad idaṃ hy ekam ed dvidhā taṃ madya vai ||
tyakiś ca hi me jñeyaḥ ṇḍavaś ca dhanaṃjayaḥ ||
tyakiṃ preṣayitvā tu ṇḍavasya panugam ||
tvatasyāpi kaṃ yuddhe preṣayiṣye panugam ||

Traducción

Out of fear of the world's censure, the greatly renowned King of Dharma, the mighty-armed one, pondered on the chariot of Shaineya: "Along the trail of Phalguna I sent, in this battle, Shaineya Satyaki, the true one, who grants fearlessness to friends. That was but one concern, and now it has become twofold for me: for I must care both for Satyaki and for the Pandava Dhananjaya."
