देवनागरी
यथैव मम पुत्राणाम् इदं राज्यं विधीयते ॥
तथैव पाण्डुपुत्राणाम् इदं राज्यं न संशयः ॥
क्षत्तर् आनय गच्छैतान् सह मात्रा सुसत्कृतान् ॥
तया च देवरूपिण्या कृष्णया सह भारत ॥

अनुवाद
"As this kingdom is allotted to my own sons, so too this kingdom belongs to the sons of Pandu, without doubt; Kshattri, go, bring them, duly honored, together with their mother and with that god-like Krishna, O Bharata."

Here an equal right of inheritance is acknowledged, and the newcomers are bidden to be honored. It is telling that the king sends for the Pandavas with honor, commanding that they be brought "duly honored": a right decision is clothed in fitting courtesy. This reveals that justice ought to be shown with respect. Thus scripture displays the king's benevolent command; and Vidura sets out as a messenger of reconciliation.
