देवनागरी
धृतराष्ट्रश् च पाञ्चाल्य त्वया संबन्धम् ईयिवान् ॥
कृतार्थं मन्यते ऽऽत्मानं तथा सर्वे ऽपि कौरवाः ॥
न तथा राज्यसंप्राप्तिस् तेषां प्रीतिकरी मता ॥
यथा संबन्धकं प्राप्य यज्ञसेन त्वया सह ॥

"And Dhritarashtra, O Panchalian, having obtained kinship with you, considers himself to have attained his purpose, and so do all the Kauravas; not so much does the attainment of the kingdom seem pleasing to them as does the attainment of kinship with you, O Yajnasena."

Here the union of hearts is set above the acquisition of kingdoms. The word is telling: joy comes not so much from the kingdom as from kinship with Drupada -- friendship is worth more than dominion. This reveals that good bonds are dearer than possessions: love and union are the true wealth. Thus scripture displays a hierarchy of goods; and reconciliation is crowned with a friendship surpassing gain.
