ते तया तैश् च सा वीरैः पतिभिः सह पञ्चभिः ॥
बभूव परमप्रीता नागैर् इव सरस्वती ॥
वर्तमानेषु धर्मेण पाण्डवेषु महात्मसु ॥
व्यवर्धन् कुरवः सर्वे हीनदोषाः सुखान्विताः ॥

Here the people's prosperity flows from the righteousness of kings. It is telling that, so long as the Pandavas "act according to dharma," the whole line of the Kurus prospers "free of fault": the virtue of rulers pours out as good for their subjects. The righteousness of the head sanctifies the whole household and kingdom. Thus scripture shows the bond between dharma and flourishing; and the happiness of the Kurus is a reflection of the Pandavas' dharma.
