साम्ना ये र्वभूतानि च्छन्ति त्सराः
नारुंतुदानां क्षमिणां या तिस् ताम् वाप्नुहि
धुमांनिवृत्तानां दाद् म्भात् थानृतात्
रोतात्यक्तानां तां तिं व्र पुत्र
ह्रीन्तः र्वशास्त्रज्ञा ज्ञातृप्ता जितेन्द्रियाः
यां तिं सावो यान्ति तां तिं व्र पुत्र

गच्छन्ति गतमत्सराःgacchanti gatamatsarāḥapproach, free from envy; approaches, without envy
न अरुंतुदानाम्na aruṃtudānāmnot wounding [not hurting painfully]; not wounding
क्षमिणाम्kṣamiṇāmpatient [free of malice]; patient
या गतिः ताम् अवाप्नुहिyā gatiḥ tām avāpnuhiwhatever lot [is theirs] — attain that; whatever lot — attain that
मधुमांसनिवृत्तानाम्madhumāṃsanivṛttānāmabstaining from intoxicating [drink] and meat; free from intoxicants and meat
मदात् दम्भात् तथा अनृतात्madāt dambhāt tathā anṛtātfrom arrogance, hypocrisy and falsehood; from pride, sanctimony, falsehood
परोपतापत्यक्तानाम्paropatāpatyaktānāmwho have abandoned [all] tormenting of others; not tormenting others
ताम् गतिम् व्रज पुत्रकtām gatim vraja putrakaattain that goal, little son; attain that lot, son
ह्रीमन्तः सर्वशास्त्रज्ञाःhrīmantaḥ sarvaśāstrajñāḥmodest, knowers of all scriptures; modest, knowers of all shastras
ज्ञानतृप्ताः जितेन्द्रियाःjñānatṛptāḥ jitendriyāḥsatisfied with knowledge, senses subdued; satisfied with knowledge, senses subdued
याम् गतिम् साधवः यान्तिyām gatim sādhavaḥ yāntito whatever goal the righteous go; to whatever lot the good go
ताम् गतिम् व्रज पुत्रकtām gatim vraja putrakaattain that goal, little son; attain that lot, son
अनुवाद

Those who approach all beings with gentleness, free from envy, not wounding, patient — whatever their lot, attain that. Those abstaining from intoxicants and meat, from arrogance, hypocrisy, and falsehood, not tormenting others — attain that lot, son. Modest, knowers of all scriptures, satisfied with knowledge, their senses subdued — whatever lot the righteous attain, attain that, son.
