स गाढविद्धो बलवान् हार्दिक्यस्य शरोत्तमैः ॥
चचाल रथमध्यस्थः क्षितिकम्पे यथाचलः ॥
भीमसेनं तथा दृष्ट्वा धर्मराजपुरोगमाः ॥
विसृजन्तः शरान् घोरान् कृतवर्माणम् आर्दयन् ॥
तं तथा कोष्ठकीकृत्य रथवंशेन मारिष ॥
विव्यधुः सायकैर् हृष्टा रक्षार्थं मारुतेर् मृधे ॥

visṛjantaḥ śarān ghorān kṛtavarmāṇam ārdayan ||
taṃ tathā koṣṭhakīkṛtya rathavaṃśena māriṣa ||
vivyadhuḥ sāyakair hṛṣṭā rakṣārthaṃ māruter mṛdhe ||

चचाल रथमध्यस्थःcacāla rathamadhyasthaḥreeled, standing [in] the middle of the chariot; reeled, standing in the midst of the chariot
क्षितिकम्पे यथा अचलःkṣitikampe yathā acalaḥas a mountain at an earthquake; like a mountain when the earth trembles
भीमसेनम् तथा दृष्ट्वाbhīmasenam tathā dṛṣṭvāseeing Bhimasena thus; seeing Bhimasena in this state

अनुवाद

He, mighty, deeply pierced by the son of Hridika's excellent arrows, reeled, standing [in] the middle of the chariot, like a mountain at an earthquake. Seeing Bhimasena thus, [the warriors] [led] by the King of Dharma, loosing terrible arrows, harried Kritavarman. Having thus enclosed him with a row of chariots, O venerable one, they pierced [him] with arrows, rejoicing, for the protection of the son of the Wind [Bhima] in the fray.
