भ्रामयित्वा शतगुणं भुजाभ्यां भरतर्षभ ॥
बभञ्ज पृष्ठे संक्षिप्य निष्पिष्य विननाद च ॥

译文
Thus addressed, the immensely mighty Bhima, tamer of foes, lifted up the powerful Jarasandha and whirled him around, O king; and having spun him a hundredfold with his arms, O bull of the Bharatas, he broke his spine, bending him double, crushed him, and roared.

Here what was foretold comes to pass: the one whom the weapons of the gods could not touch perishes at bare hands — broken in two, just as he had been born in two halves and joined together. It is significant that invulnerability to steel proved powerless where it is not a weapon that acts, but the living might of a devotee directed by the Lord. The verse teaches that any protection gained apart from the will of the Supreme has a hidden flaw; both the hour and the manner of the end are determined from above — Bhima only carries out what was ordained.
