स निर्ययौ महाबाहुः पुण्डरीकेक्षणस् ततः ॥
गिरिव्रजाद् बहिस् तस्थौ समे देशे महायशाः ॥

译文
That chariot which King Vasu obtained from Vasava [Indra], and from him Brihadratha, and from Brihadratha in succession it passed to the king, son of Brihadratha [Jarasandha] — on it the mighty-armed, lotus-eyed [Krishna] rode forth from there; and the greatly renowned one stood on level ground outside Girivraja.

The list of owners — from Indra through the line of Brihadratha to Jarasandha, and now to Krishna — shows how earthly possessions pass from hand to hand. It is significant that the chain of owners closes upon the One from whom everything proceeds and to whom everything returns: Indra's gift has at last found its true Owner. The verse teaches that man is only a temporary keeper of what is entrusted to him; and the chariot, the kingdom, and life itself all one day return to their Source.
