दातिना हातेजा गिरौ हिति प्रभुः

मायुक्तो हि कौन्तेयो वासुदेवे धीता
सारान् पि लोकांस् त्रीन् निन्याद् ति मे तिः

"Even Maheshvara, it is heard, was fought long ago by Partha — on foot — on the mountain Himavat, though himself a most mighty lord. Thousands of danavas, dwellers of the Golden City, he slew with a single chariot, urged on by the king of the gods. For the son of Kunti, joined with wise Vasudeva, would slay even the three worlds with the gods — such is my belief."
