महेश्वरो ऽपि पार्थेन श्रूयते योधितः पुरा ॥
पदातिना महातेजा गिरौ हिमवति प्रभुः ॥
दानवानां सहस्राणि हिरण्यपुरवासिनाम् ॥
जघान् एकरथेनैव देवराजप्रचोदितः ॥
समायुक्तो हि कौन्तेयो वासुदेवेन धीमता ॥
सामरान् अपि लोकांस् त्रीन् निहन्याद् इति मे मतिः ॥

译文

"Even Maheshvara, it is heard, was fought long ago by Partha — on foot — on the mountain Himavat, though himself a most mighty lord. Thousands of danavas, dwellers of the Golden City, he slew with a single chariot, urged on by the king of the gods. For the son of Kunti, joined with wise Vasudeva, would slay even the three worlds with the gods — such is my belief."
