शृणुष्वैना राजन् यन् मां त्वं रिपृच्छसि
द्राव्यमाणे ले स्मिन् हार्दिक्ये हात्मना
ज्जयाते चापि प्रहृष्टैश् चै ताकैः
द्वीपो सीत् पाण्डूनाम् गाधे गाधम् च्छताम्
श्रुत्वा तु निदं भीमं ताकानां हावे
शैनेयस् त्वरितो राजन् कृर्माणम् भ्ययात्

अगाधे गाधम् इच्छताम्agādhe gādham icchatām[in] the deep, of those seeking a ford; of those seeking a ford in the deep
श्रुत्वा तु निनदम् भीमम्śrutvā tu ninadam bhīmamhaving heard the terrible roar; having heard the fearsome din
तावकानाम् महाहवेtāvakānām mahāhaveof your [warriors] in the great battle; of your [warriors] in the great fight
शैनेयः त्वरितः राजन्śaineyaḥ tvaritaḥ rājanShaineya, swiftly, o king; Shaineya, hastening, o king
कृतवर्माणम् अभ्ययात्kṛtavarmāṇam abhyayātadvanced [on] Kritavarman; advanced on Kritavarman
译文

"Listen, focused, o king, [about] what you ask me. [When] that army was being driven to rout by the son of Hridika, the great soul, and [the Pandava army] drooped from shame while your [warriors] rejoiced — [Kritavarman,] who was an island against the Pandavas seeking a ford in the deep [of battle] — having heard the terrible roar of your [warriors] in the great battle, Shaineya, swiftly, o king, advanced on Kritavarman."
