तम् आपतन्तं सहसा मागधस्य गजोत्तमम् ॥
सात्यकिर् वारयाम् आस वेलेवोद्वृत्तम् अर्णवम् ॥
नागं निवारितं दृष्ट्वा शैनेयस्य शरोत्तमैः ॥
अक्रुध्यत रणे राजञ् जलसंधो महाबलः ॥
ततः क्रुद्धो महेष्वासो मार्गणैर् भारसाधनैः ॥
अविध्यत शिनेः पौत्रं जलसंधो महोरसि ॥

译文

Him, rushing [upon him] suddenly, the finest elephant of the Magadhan, Satyaki held back, as a shore [holds back] the surging ocean. Seeing the elephant held back by the finest arrows of Shaineya, Jalasandha, the mighty, grew angry in the battle, o king. Then the enraged great archer Jalasandha pierced the grandson of Shini [in] the broad chest with arrows, heavily dealing [death].
