तः सात्यकिर् धीमान् हात्मा वृष्णिपुंवः
सुर्शनं नित्याजौ न्तारम् दम् ब्रवीत्
थाश्वनालिलं क्त्यूर्मिमालिनम्
ड्गत्स्यं दाग्राहं शूरायुहास्वनम्
प्राणाहारिणं रौद्रं वादित्रोत्क्रुष्टनादितम्
योधानाम् सुस्पर्शं दुर्धर्षम् यैषिणाम्

Then that Satyaki, wise, great-souled, bull of the race of Vrishni, having slain Sudarshana in battle, said this to the charioteer: "[The army,] full of chariots, horses, elephants, entwined with waves of arrows [and] spears, [with] sword-fish, mace-crocodiles, [with] the great roar of heroes [and] weapons, life-taking, terrible, resounding with [musical] instruments [and] shouts, grievous to the touch even for warriors, unconquerable [for those] who do not desire victory..."
