सूत उवाच
न संभ्रमो मे वार्ष्णेय विद्यते सत्यविक्रम ॥
यद्य् अपि स्यात् सुसंक्रुद्धो जामदग्न्यो ऽग्रतः स्थितः ॥
द्रोणो वा रथिनां श्रेष्ठः कृपो मद्रेश्वरो ऽपि वा ॥
तथापि संभ्रमो न स्यात् त्वाम् आश्रित्य महाभुज ॥
त्वया सुबहवो युद्धे निर्जिताः शत्रुसूदन ॥
न च मे संभ्रमः कश् चिद् भूतपूर्वः कदा चन ॥
किम् उ चैतत् समासाद्य वीर संयुगगोष्पदम् ॥

na saṃbhramo me vārṣṇeya vidyate satyavikrama ||
yady api syāt susaṃkruddho jāmadagnyo 'grataḥ sthitaḥ ||
droṇo vā rathināṃ śreṣṭhaḥ kṛpo madreśvaro 'pi vā ||
tathāpi saṃbhramo na syāt tvām āśritya mahābhuja ||
tvayā subahavo yuddhe nirjitāḥ śatrusūdana ||
na ca me saṃbhramaḥ kaś cid bhūtapūrvaḥ kadā cana ||
kim u caitat samāsādya vīra saṃyugagoṣpadam ||
"No confusion is mine, O descendant of Vrishni, truly-valiant one. Even if there stood ahead the greatly enraged son of Jamadagni [Parashurama], or Drona, foremost of charioteers, or Kripa, or the king of Madra -- even then there would be no confusion, relying [on] you, O mighty-armed one. By you very many have been conquered in battle, O slayer of foes, and no confusion of mine has ever occurred before."

The charioteer does not fear even Parashurama, "tvām āśritya" -- relying on Satyaki: faith in one's lord banishes fear. It is telling that even a humble servant gains fearlessness through nearness to the valiant. The verse teaches that reliance on a strong protector brings peace: one who has leaned upon a worthy man with full trust does not tremble even before the most terrible -- for his steadfastness is not his own but borrowed from the one to whom he is devoted.
