आचार्यककृतं मार्गं दर्शयिष्यामि संयुगे ॥
अद्य मद्बाणनिहतान् योधमुख्यान् सहस्रशः ॥
दृष्ट्वा दुर्योधनो राजा पश्चात्तापं गमिष्यति ॥

译文
"Today I shall show in battle the path forged by the teaching of the foremost of the Pandavas, the White-Horsed one, great in soul. Today, seeing the foremost warriors slain by the thousand by my arrows, king Duryodhana shall come [to] remorse."

Satyaki honors "ācāryakakṛtaṃ mārgam" -- the path forged by Arjuna's teaching: the disciple manifests in battle the science of his teacher, and his glory reflects back upon the master. It is telling that he regards his own feat as an honor paid to the teacher. The verse teaches that the grateful disciple glorifies his teacher through his deeds: manifesting in action the knowledge received, he renders homage to the one who gave it, and his own valor becomes an offering to the teacher.
