त्वत् संभूता भूतकृतो वरेण्य; गोप्तारो ऽद्य भुवनं पूर्वदेवाः ॥
आविश्येमां धरणीं ये ऽभ्यरक्षन्; पुरा पुराणां तव देव सृष्टिम् ॥
सुरासुरान् नागरक्षःपिशाचान्; नरान् सुपर्णान् अथ गन्धर्वयक्षान् ॥
पृथग्विधान् भूतसंघांश् च विश्वांस्; त्वत्संभूतान् विद्म सर्वांस् तथैव ॥
ऐन्द्रं याम्यं वारुणं वैत्तपाल्यं; मैत्रं त्वाष्ट्रं कर्म सौम्यं च तुभ्यम् ॥
रूपं ज्योतिः शब्द आकाशवायुः; स्पर्शः स्वाद्यं सलिलं गन्ध उर्वी ॥
कामो ब्रह्मा ब्रह्म च ब्राह्मणाश् च; त्वत्संभूतं स्थास्नु चरिष्णु चेदम् ॥
tvat saṃbhūtā bhūtakṛto vareṇya; goptāro 'dya bhuvanaṃ pūrvadevāḥ ||
āviśyemāṃ dharaṇīṃ ye 'bhyarakṣan; purā purāṇāṃ tava deva sṛṣṭim ||
surāsurān nāgarakṣaḥpiśācān; narān suparṇān atha gandharvayakṣān ||
pṛthagvidhān bhūtasaṃghāṃś ca viśvāṃs; tvatsaṃbhūtān vidma sarvāṃs tathaiva ||
aindraṃ yāmyaṃ vāruṇaṃ vaittapālyaṃ; maitraṃ tvāṣṭraṃ karma saumyaṃ ca tubhyam ||
rūpaṃ jyotiḥ śabda ākāśavāyuḥ; sparśaḥ svādyaṃ salilaṃ gandha urvī ||
kāmo brahmā brahma ca brāhmaṇāś ca; tvatsaṃbhūtaṃ sthāsnu cariṣṇu cedam ||
"From You arose the creators of beings, O chosen one [venerable one], the guardians now of the world — the ancient gods who, entering this earth, protected [it] from of old, Your ancient creature [creation], O god. Gods, asuras, nagas, rakshasas, pishachas, humans, suparnas, and also gandharvas and yakshas, the diverse hosts of beings and all [worlds] — as arisen from You we know them all likewise; the deed of Indra, Yama, Varuna, the Keeper of Riches [Kubera], Mitra, Tvashtar, and Soma belongs to You. Form, light, sound, ether, wind, touch, the tasted, water, smell, earth; desire, Brahma, Brahman, and the brahmins — from You arose [all] this, the unmoving and the moving."

The hymn confesses an all-encompassing source: from Him come the gods, the elements, the senses, their objects, desire itself, and Brahman. It is notable that the enumeration embraces the whole of creation without remainder: there is nothing that does not proceed from the highest origin. The verse teaches that the whole visible and invisible world is rooted in a single Source; and one who has seen this unity within multiplicity no longer divides existence into one's own and another's, for everything traces back to the one Womb of being.
