ततः सः भगवान् सूर्यःtataḥ saḥ bhagavān sūryaḥthen that lord Surya,
माम् उपादाय वीर्यवान्mām upādāya vīryavāntaking me, the mighty one,
अगच्छत् ताम् सभाम् ब्राह्मीम्agacchat tām sabhām brāhmīmwent to that hall of Brahma,
विपापाम् विगत-क्लमाम्vipāpām vigata-klamāmsinless, untiring;
एवम्-रूपा इति सा शक्याevam-rūpā iti sā śakyā"such is its form" — it is impossible
न निर्देष्टुम् जन-अधिपna nirdeṣṭum jana-adhipato define [it] thus, O lord of men,
क्षणेन हि बिभर्ति अन्यत्kṣaṇena hi bibharti anyatfor in an instant it bears another,
अनिर्देश्यम् वपुः तथाanirdeśyam vapuḥ tathāindescribable form;
न वेद परिमाणम् वाna veda parimāṇam vāI know neither its measure,
संस्थानम् वा अपि भारतsaṃsthānam vā api bhāratanor its shape, O Bharata,
न च रूपम् मया तादृक्na ca rūpam mayā tādṛkand such a form by me
दृष्ट-पूर्वम् कदा चनdṛṣṭa-pūrvam kadā canawas never seen before;

Here the Creator's hall escapes every definition, changing its form every instant. It is telling that even the seer who has beheld the worlds confesses, "I do not know." The highest cannot be grasped by the mind, for it surpasses every form. So the text reveals the incomprehensibility of the divine; and next comes its bliss.
