अनुवाद
"The Vedas found in him a supreme student, the great sacrifices found a performer, the classes found a benevolent protector — they found that lord of men; in him Lakshmi found her support, wisdom its supreme refuge in dharma, and all dharma found a kinsman-support, in that ruler of the earth."

Here the king appears as the refuge of the Vedas, of sacrifice, and of dharma itself. It is telling that in Yudhishthira "dharma found its support": a righteous sovereign is the living bulwark of law on earth. Under a righteous king, knowledge, sacrifice, and prosperity [Lakshmi] all flourish. Thus scripture reveals the fullness of righteous rule; and his kingdom is a stronghold of dharma.
