आमन्त्र्य धर्मराजानम् अनुज्ञाप्य च भारत ॥
जग्मतुः पार्थगोविन्दौ सुहृज्जनवृतौ ततः ॥

Here even the outing begins with the elder's leave asked first. It is telling that even for rest Arjuna and Krishna seek Yudhishthira's permission: reverence for the elder is observed even in small things. In this is an unfailing courtesy toward the head of the family. Thus scripture reveals their good conduct; and with the elder's blessing their journey begins.
