संजय उवाच
प्रीतियुक्तं च हृद्यं च मधुराक्षरम् एव च ॥
कालयुक्तं च चित्रं च स्वतया चाभिभाषितम् ॥
धर्मराजस्य तद् वाक्यं निशम्य शिनिपुंगवः ॥
सात्यकिर् भरतश्रेष्ठ प्रत्युवाच युधिष्ठिरम् ॥

prītiyuktaṃ ca hṛdyaṃ ca madhurākṣaram eva ca ||
kālayuktaṃ ca citraṃ ca svatayā cābhibhāṣitam ||
dharmarājasya tad vākyaṃ niśamya śinipuṃgavaḥ ||
sātyakir bharataśreṣṭha pratyuvāca yudhiṣṭhiram ||

शब्दशः अर्थ

प्रीतियुक्तम् च हृद्यम् चprītiyuktam ca hṛdyam cafilled with love and heartfelt; full of affection and sincere
मधुराक्षरम् एव चmadhurākṣaram eva caand sweet-sounding; and sweet in speech
कालयुक्तम् च चित्रम् चkālayuktam ca citram caand timely, and wondrous; and fitting, and skillful
स्वतया च अभिभाषितम्svatayā ca abhibhāṣitamand spoken from [his] own [soul]; and uttered sincerely from himself
धर्मराजस्य तत् वाक्यम्dharmarājasya tat vākyamthe Dharma King's, that speech; that speech of the King of Righteousness
निशम्य शिनिपुंगवःniśamya śinipuṃgavaḥhaving heard, the bull [of the] Shini [clan]; having heard, the bull of the Shini clan
सात्यकिः भरतश्रेष्ठsātyakiḥ bharataśreṣṭhaSatyaki, O best [of] the Bharatas; Satyaki, O best of the Bharatas
प्रत्युवाच युधिष्ठिरम्pratyuvāca yudhiṣṭhiramanswered Yudhishthira; replied to Yudhishthira
अनुवाद

Having heard that speech of the Dharma King — full of love and heartfelt, sweet-sounding, timely and wondrous, spoken from his own soul — the bull of the Shini clan, Satyaki, O best of the Bharatas, answered Yudhishthira.
