लोत्रयं योयेयं देवासुमानुषम्
त्वत्प्रयुक्तो रेन्द्रे किम् तैतत् सुदुर्बलम्
सुयोलं त्व् द्य योयिष्ये न्ततः
विजेष्ये णे राजन् त्यम् तद् ब्रवीमि ते
कुशल्य् हं कुलिनं मासाद्य नंयम्
ते द्रथे राजन् पुनर् ष्यामि ते ऽन्तिकम्

lokatrayaṃ yodhayeyaṃ sadesuranuṣam ||
tvatprayukto narendreha kim utaitat sudurbalam ||
suyodhanabalaṃ tv adya yodhayiṣye samantataḥ ||
vijeṣye ca raṇe jan satyam etad brami te ||
kuśaly ahaṃ kuśalinaṃ sadya dhanaṃjayam ||
hate jayadrathe jan punar eṣyāmi te 'ntikam ||

सदेवासुरमानुषम्sadevāsuramānuṣamwith gods, asuras, men; together with gods, asuras and men
त्वत्प्रयुक्तः नरेन्द्र इहtvatprayuktaḥ narendra ihasent by you, O lord of men, here; sent by you, O lord of men, here
किम् उत एतत् सुदुर्बलम्kim uta etat sudurbalamwhat then [to say of] this, very weak [army]; what then [to say of] this so feeble army
सुयोधनबलम् तु अद्यsuyodhanabalam tu adyaSuyodhana's army indeed now; and Suyodhana's army now
योधयिष्ये समन्ततःyodhayiṣye samantataḥI will press on all sides; I will strike on all sides
विजेष्ये च रणे राजन्vijeṣye ca raṇe rājanand I will conquer in battle, O king; and I will conquer in the fight, O king
सत्यम् एतत् ब्रवीमि तेsatyam etat bravīmi tethis truth I tell you; this truth I speak to you
कुशली अहम् कुशलिनम्kuśalī aham kuśalinamsafe I, [to] the safe one; safe myself, to the safe one
समासाद्य धनंजयम्samāsādya dhanaṃjayamhaving come to Dhananjaya; having reached Dhananjaya
हते जयद्रथे राजन्hate jayadrathe rājanwhen Jayadratha is slain, O king; upon the slaying of Jayadratha, O king
पुनः एष्यामि ते अन्तिकम्punaḥ eṣyāmi te antikamI will come again to you; I will return again to your presence
अनुवाद

I would fight even the triple world — with gods, asuras, and men — sent by you, O lord of men; what then to speak of this so feeble army? And Suyodhana's army I shall now press on every side and conquer in battle, O king — this truth I tell you. Safe myself, having come to Dhananjaya, safe as well, once Jayadratha is slain, O king, I shall come again into your presence.
