उद्युक्ता पृथिवी सर्वा ससुरासुरमानुषा ॥
सराक्षसगणा राजन् सकिंनरमहोरगा ॥
जङ्गमाः स्थावरैः सार्धं नालं पार्थस्य संयुगे ॥
एवं ज्ञात्वा महाराज व्येतु ते भीर् धनंजये ॥
यत्र वीरौ महेष्वासौ कृष्णौ सत्यपराक्रमौ ॥
न तत्र कर्मणो व्यापत् कथं चिद् अपि विद्यते ॥
udyuktā pṛthivī sarvā sasurāsuramānuṣā ||
sarākṣasagaṇā rājan sakiṃnaramahoragā ||
jaṅgamāḥ sthāvaraiḥ sārdhaṃ nālaṃ pārthasya saṃyuge ||
evaṃ jñātvā mahārāja vyetu te bhīr dhanaṃjaye ||
yatra vīrau maheṣvāsau kṛṣṇau satyaparākramau ||
na tatra karmaṇo vyāpat kathaṃ cid api vidyate ||
The whole earth risen up for war — with gods, asuras, and men, with hosts of rakshasas, O king, with kinnaras and great serpents, moving beings together with the unmoving — would not be enough against Partha in battle. Knowing this, O great king, let your fear for Dhananjaya depart. Where the two heroes, the great archers, both Krishnas, of true valor, stand together — there no mishap to the undertaking exists in any way.

The highest consolation: 'yatra… kṛṣṇau satyaparākramau, na tatra karmaṇo vyāpat' — where both Krishnas are, there the undertaking suffers no harm. The name 'Krishna' belongs to both Arjuna and Vasudeva — Nara and Narayana; where they are together, the outcome is assured. It is significant that the pledge of success lies not in the strength of weapons but in the presence of the Lord and His devotee. The verse teaches that wherever God and His faithful one are joined, no undertaking meets ruin; the Lord's presence is the perfect guarantee of a good outcome.
