उदीच्य-भोजाः च तथाudīcya-bhojāḥ ca tathāthe northern Bhojas,
कुलानि अष्टादश अभिभोkulāni aṣṭādaśa abhibhoeighteen lineages of them, O lord,
जरासंध-भयात् एवjarāsaṃdha-bhayāt evaout of fear of Jarasandha
प्रतीचीम् दिशम् आश्रिताःpratīcīm diśam āśritāḥtook refuge in the western quarter;

Here whole peoples flee before a single tyrant. It is telling that unrighteous power, left unchecked, turns many into exiles: tolerated evil grows into a calamity for all. Scripture thus shows how dearly the world pays for tyranny left unchecked; and the list of those who flee continues.
