यस्य त्वं पुरुषव्याघ्र सारथ्यम् उपजग्मिवान् ॥
एवं चैतत् करिष्यामि यथा माम् अनुशाससि ॥
सुप्रभाताम् इमां रात्रिं जयाय विजयस्य हि ॥

"Victory is indeed certain for him — how then could defeat come to him — whose charioteer you have become, O tiger among men. And so I shall do as you command me; may this night have a fair dawn — for the victory of Vijaya [Arjuna]."

Daruka echoes the same law that crowned Arjuna's oath: "jayaḥ eva dhruvaḥ tasya… yasya tvaṃ sārathyam upajagmivān" — victory is certain for him whose charioteer the Lord has become; how then could defeat come to him? It is telling that this truth is spoken by the servant who drives Krishna's horses: even he sees that it is not the horses nor the chariot, but God himself as charioteer, who decides the outcome. The verse teaches the heart of trust: where the Lord has become the charioteer of one's life, victory is unshakeable and defeat unthinkable; and one who has entrusted his chariot to God need only, like Daruka, do as commanded and await the 'fair dawn'.
