译文

By breath the gods breathe, and men, and cattle: breath is the life of beings, and therefore it is called the whole of life. The full span of life is attained by those who worship breath as Brahman: for breath is the life of beings, and therefore it is called the whole of life. He is the embodied self of the former. But within this [self] made of breath is another self, consisting of mind: by that the former is filled. He too has the form of a man: after the man-shape of the one, man-shaped is the other. The Yajus is his head, the Ṛc his right side, the Sāman his left side, instruction his trunk, the Atharvāṅgirases his lower part, the support. Of that there is also a verse.
