जन्यार्थम् अन्नं द्रुपदेन राज्ञा; विवाहहेतोर् उपसंस्कृतं च ॥
तद् आप्नुवध्वं कृतसर्वकार्याः; कृष्णा च तत्रैव चिरं न कार्यम् ॥
इमे रथाः काञ्चनपद्मचित्राः; सदश्वयुक्ता वसुधाधिपार्हाः ॥
एतान् समारुह्य परैत सर्वे; पाञ्चालराजस्य निवेशनं तत् ॥

janyārtham annaṃ drupadena rājñā; vivāhahetor upasaṃskṛtaṃ ca ||
tad āpnuvadhvaṃ kṛtasarvakāryāḥ; kṛṣṇā ca tatraiva ciraṃ na kāryam ||
ime rathāḥ kāñcanapadmacitrāḥ; sadaśvayuktā vasudhādhipārhāḥ ||
etān samāruhya paraita sarve; pāñcālarājasya niveśanaṃ tat ||

Translation

The messenger said: "The food prepared by King Drupada for the wedding guests for the sake of the marriage -- partake of it, having performed all the rites, and let Krishna go there too; there must be no delay. Here are chariots, adorned with golden lotuses, yoked with fine horses, worthy of a lord of the earth -- mounting them, go all of you to the dwelling of the Panchala king."
