रथेन काञ्चनाङ्गेन द्वारकाम् अभिजग्मिवान् ॥
अलंकृता द्वारका तु बभूव जनमेजय ॥
कुन्तीसुतस्य पूजार्थम् अपि निष्कुटकेष्व् अपि ॥

Translation
"He, having performed the necessary morning rites, greeted by Varshneya, set out for Dvaraka on a chariot with a golden body; and Dvaraka was adorned, O Janamejaya, to honor Kunti's son, even in her gardens."

Here an entire city is adorned for the sake of the Lord's friend. Dvaraka is decked out "even in its gardens" in Arjuna's honor: whom the Lord honors, His whole city honors too. One dear to the Lord becomes dear to His people as well. So the verse shows the universal tribute paid to Arjuna; and the honor given him is a reflection of Krishna's love.
