यो नो द्वेष्टारम् आदाय श्येनराज प्रधावसि ॥
भव त्वं दिवम् आस्थाय निरमित्रो हिरण्मयः ॥
यदा स भक्षितस् तेन क्षुधितेन पतत्रिणा ॥
तदाहं तम् अनुज्ञाप्य प्रत्युपायां गृहान् प्रति ॥

yo no dveṣṭāram ādāya śyenarāja pradhāvasi ||
bhava tvaṃ divam āsthāya niramitro hiraṇmayaḥ ||
yadā sa bhakṣitas tena kṣudhitena patatriṇā ||
tadāhaṃ tam anujñāpya pratyupāyāṃ gṛhān prati ||

Translation

"You who, taking our enemy, rush away, O king of hawks — remain, dwelling in the sky, without enemies, golden!" When the mouse had been eaten by that hungry bird, then I, having taken leave of him, returned home.
