अर्जुन उवाच
नैव वाचा व्यवसितं भीम विज्ञायते सताम् ॥
इतश् चतुर्दशे वर्षे द्रष्टारो यद् भविष्यति ॥
दुर्योधनस्य कर्णस्य शकुनेश् च दुरात्मनः ॥
दुःशासनचतुर्थानां भूमिः पास्यति शोणितम् ॥
असूयितारं वक्तारं प्रस्रष्टारं दुरात्मनाम् ॥
भीमसेन नियोगात् ते हन्ताहं कर्णम् आहवे ॥

arjuna uvāca
naiva vācā vyavasitaṃ bhīma vijñāyate satām ||
itaś caturdaśe varṣe draṣṭāro yad bhaviṣyati ||
duryodhanasya karṇasya śakuneś ca durātmanaḥ ||
duḥśāsanacaturthānāṃ bhūmiḥ pāsyati śoṇitam ||
asūyitāraṃ vaktāraṃ prasraṣṭāraṃ durātmanām ||
bhīmasena niyogāt te hantāhaṃ karṇam āhave ||

Translation

[Arjuna:] 'The resolve of the good is known not by word, O Bhima; in the fourteenth year from now the onlookers will see what will be. The blood of Duryodhana, Karna, the wicked-hearted Shakuni, and the fourth, Duhshasana, the earth will drink. By your command, Bhimasena, I will slay in battle Karna — this envious, foul-mouthed abettor of the wicked.'
