Traducción

He who, without having conquered his five inborn foes of mental origin, desires to conquer other adversaries, is in fact conquered by them. Many an ill-fated king is seen to perish through his own deeds, driven by lust for territory, because of his inability to master his senses. As damp fuel burns together with dry, so a blameless man is punished equally with a sinner because of constant association with him.
