जलसंधस् तु तत् त्यक्त्वा सशरं वै शरासनम् ॥
तोमरं व्यसृजत् तूर्णं सात्यकिं प्रति मारिष ॥
स निर्भिद्य भुजं सव्यं माधवस्य महारणे ॥
अभ्यगाद् धरणीं घोरः श्वसन्न् इव महोरगः ॥
निर्भिन्ने तु भुजे सव्ये सात्यकिः सत्यविक्रमः ॥
त्रिंशद्भिर् विशिखैस् तीक्ष्णैर् जलसंधम् अताडयत् ॥

tomaraṃ vyasṛjat tūrṇaṃ sātyakiṃ prati māriṣa ||
sa nirbhidya bhujaṃ savyaṃ mādhavasya mahāraṇe ||
abhyagād dharaṇīṃ ghoraḥ śvasann iva mahoragaḥ ||
nirbhinne tu bhuje savye sātyakiḥ satyavikramaḥ ||
triṃśadbhir viśikhais tīkṣṇair jalasaṃdham atāḍayat ||

अनुवाद

But Jalasandha, casting aside that bow together with its arrow, quickly hurled a javelin at Satyaki, O worthy one. Piercing the left arm of Madhava in that great battle, it sank into the ground, terrible, like a hissing great serpent. Then, with his left arm pierced, Satyaki, the truly valiant, struck Jalasandha with thirty sharp arrows.
