Here stand the primordial mothers of every lineage — of gods and asuras, serpents and birds, creatures and plants. It is telling that even the ancestresses of warring races gather before the Creator: before the Source, every lineage shares equally in being. Thus the scripture reveals the single origin of all that lives; and next come the hosts of gods and spirits.
