Here Yudhishthira notices something unusual: of all kings only one has been granted a permanent place in Indra's hall. It is telling that an attentive mind discerns exceptions and seeks their cause: behind every honor stands merit. Thus the scripture reveals an inquiring mind that seeks reasons; and next comes the very question itself.
