अवश्यं तु मया कार्यम् आत्मनः शोकनाशनम् ॥
तस्माद् भीमं नियोक्ष्यामि सात्वतस्य पदानुगम् ॥
ततः प्रतिकृतं मन्ये विधानं सात्यकिं प्रति ॥
एवं निश्चित्य मनसा धर्मपुत्रो युधिष्ठिरः ॥
यन्तारम् अब्रवीद् राजन् भीमं प्रति नयस्व माम् ॥
धर्मराजवचः श्रुत्वा सारथिर् हयकोविदः ॥
रथं हेमपरिष्कारं भीमान्तिकम् उपानयत् ॥
भीमसेनम् अनुप्राप्य प्राप्तकालम् अनुस्मरन् ॥
कश्मलं प्राविशद् राजा बहु तत्र समादिशन् ॥
avaśyaṃ tu mayā kāryam ātmanaḥ śokanāśanam ||
tasmād bhīmaṃ niyokṣyāmi sātvatasya padānugam ||
tataḥ pratikṛtaṃ manye vidhānaṃ sātyakiṃ prati ||
evaṃ niścitya manasā dharmaputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
yantāram abravīd rājan bhīmaṃ prati nayasva mām ||
dharmarājavacaḥ śrutvā sārathir hayakovidaḥ ||
rathaṃ hemapariṣkāraṃ bhīmāntikam upānayat ||
bhīmasenam anuprāpya prāptakālam anusmaran ||
kaśmalaṃ prāviśad rājā bahu tatra samādiśan ||
"Surely I must accomplish the destruction of my own grief; therefore I shall appoint Bhima to follow Satvata." Having thus resolved in his mind, the son of Dharma, Yudhishthira, said to the charioteer, O king: "Drive me to Bhima." Having heard the word of the King of Dharma, the charioteer, skilled with horses, brought the gold-adorned chariot close to Bhima.

The king acts to dispel his anxiety: "kāryam ātmanaḥ śokanāśanam", the destruction of one's own grief must be accomplished. It is telling that he moves from deliberation to action. The verse teaches that anxiety is healed not by inaction but by a feasible deed: whoever, having weighed matters, does what must be done, thereby already lessens his own grief, for a care turned into action ceases to torment in vain.
