श्यामो युवा गुडाकेशो र्शनीयो हाभुजः
व्यूढोस्को हास्कन्धो त्तद्विविक्रमः
कोनेत्रस् ताम्राक्षो द्विताम् र्धनः
तद् दं द्रं ते शोस्थानम् रिं
र्जुनार्थं हाबाहो सात्वस्य काणात्
र्धते विषेवाग्निर् ध्यमानः पुनः पुनः
स्य क्ष्म श्यामि ते विन्दामि श्मलम्

"His departure we know, Bhima, but not his return. Dark-hued, young Gudakesha, fair to see, mighty-armed, broad-chested, mighty-shouldered, with the gait of a rutting elephant, with eyes like the chakora bird, copper-eyed, increaser of woe for foes — this, then, good to you, is my source of grief, O tamer of foes, for Arjuna's sake, mighty-armed one, and for Satvata's sake."
