译文

When this had been said, O great king, all the Kauravas and Pandavas said nothing at all, but in their hearts paid him honor. For of him who had been purified by mantras in great sacrifices, glorious, who had given away many thousands, like a sage gone into the forest — there did no one approve of the slaying. Of that hero, the boon-giver with dark-blue locks and eyes red as a turtledove's, the head was cut off, like the head of a sacrificial horse laid down as at the northern altar. He, purified by the radiance of death by weapon, having released his excellent body in the great battle, ascended upward, the boon-giver worthy of boons, embracing heaven and earth with supreme dharma.
