ततो द्वादश वर्षाणि पुनर् ईजे नराधिपः ॥
पत्न्या तपत्या सहितो यथा शक्रो मरुत्पतिः ॥
एवम् आसीन् महाभागा तपती नाम पौर्विकी ॥
तव वैवस्वती पार्थ तापत्यस् त्वं यया मतः ॥

Translation
"Then for twelve years the lord of men again performed sacrifices together with his wife Tapati, like Shakra, the lord of the Maruts. Such was the most fortunate Tapati, your ancestress, the daughter of Vivasvat, O Partha, after whom you are called Tapatya."

Here pleasure turns into service — the king rules and offers sacrifice. It is significant that after his return Samvarana no longer indulges idly, but for twelve years "offers sacrifice" together with his wife: corrected, he joins domestic happiness with the fulfillment of duty and worship. Here is shown the true image of the householder-king: the joy of life, consecrated by sacrifice and duty, is blessed. Thus the scripture shows the fullness of restored order — king, wife, and people in harmony under the shelter of dharma; and Tapati, the ancestress, hands down her blessed name to the line.
