युधिष्ठिर सभा दिव्या वरुणस्य सितप्रभा ॥
प्रमाणेन यथा याम्या शुभप्राकारतोरणा ॥
अन्तःसलिलम् आस्थाय विहिता विश्वकर्मणा ॥
दिव्यरत्नमयैर् वृक्षैः फलपुष्पप्रदैर् युता ॥

yudhiṣṭhira sabhā divyā varuṇasya sitaprabhā ||
pramāṇena yathā yāmyā śubhaprākāratoraṇā ||
antaḥsalilam āsthāya vihitā viśvakarmaṇā ||
divyaratnamayair vṛkṣaiḥ phalapuṣpapradair yutā ||

Translation
Narada said: "Yudhishthira, the divine hall of Varuna is white-radiant, equal in size to Yama's, with beautiful walls and gates; established within the waters, it was built by Vishvakarman and furnished with divine gem-trees bearing fruit and flowers."

Here the abode of the lord of the waters is established in the very depths of the waters. It is significant that Varuna's hall lies hidden in the ocean's depths: the mysteries of cosmic order dwell in what is concealed, just as the waters guard their own depth. Thus scripture reveals that there are abodes unseen from the surface; and its beauty is disclosed further on.
