उष्णीषिणे सुवक्त्राय सहस्राक्षाय मीढुषे ॥
गिरिशाय प्रशान्ताय पतये चीरवाससे ॥
हिरण्यबाहवे चैव उग्राय पतये दिशाम् ॥
पर्जन्यपतये चैव भूतानां पतये नमः ॥
वृक्षाणां पतये चैव अपां च पतये तथा ॥
वृक्षैर् आवृतकायाय सेनान्ये मध्यमाय च ॥

uṣṇīṣiṇe suvaktrāya sahasrākṣāya mīḍhuṣe ||
giriśāya praśāntāya pataye cīravāsase ||
hiraṇyabāhave caiva ugrāya pataye diśām ||
parjanyapataye caiva bhūtānāṃ pataye namaḥ ||
vṛkṣāṇāṃ pataye caiva apāṃ ca pataye tathā ||
vṛkṣair āvṛtakāyāya senānye madhyamāya ca ||

Translation

"To the turbaned, of beautiful face, thousand-eyed, the generous [who showers gifts]; dwelling on the mountain, utterly peaceful, the lord, clad in bark garments. And to the golden-armed, the fierce, lord of the quarters; and to the lord of Parjanya [the rain], homage to the lord of beings. And to the lord of trees, and likewise the lord of waters; to him whose body is covered by trees, the commander, and the middle one."
