Translation

"They found no shelter, and whence could the gods have found peace then, when the sacrifice suddenly scattered and Maheshvara grew angry. From that sound of the bowstring's snap all the worlds were thrown into turmoil, coming under his power, O Partha, and the gods and asuras fell. All the waters were agitated, and the earth trembled, and the mountains split apart, the quarters of the sky and the nagas fell into confusion."
