नामधेयानि लोकेषु बहून्य् अत्र यथार्थवत् ॥
निरुच्यन्ते महत्त्वाच् च विभुत्वात् कर्मभिस् तथा ॥
वेदे चास्य समाम्नातं शतरुद्रीयम् उत्तमम् ॥
नाम्ना चानन्तरुद्रेति उपस्थानं महात्मनः ॥
स कामानां प्रभुर् देवो ये दिव्या ये च मानुषाः ॥
स विभुः स प्रभुर् देवो विश्वं व्याप्नुवते महत् ॥

nāmadheyāni lokeṣu bahūny atra yathārthavat ||
nirucyante mahattvāc ca vibhutvāt karmabhis tathā ||
vede cāsya samāmnātaṃ śatarudrīyam uttamam ||
nāmnā cānantarudreti upasthānaṃ mahātmanaḥ ||
sa kāmānāṃ prabhur devo ye divyā ye ca mānuṣāḥ ||
sa vibhuḥ sa prabhur devo viśvaṃ vyāpnuvate mahat ||

Translation

"Names in the worlds, many here, are explained according to their meaning -- for greatness, for omnipotence, and by deeds. And in the Veda his is proclaimed: the supreme Shatarudriya; and under the name 'Ananta-rudra' -- the worship of the great-souled one. He is the lord of desires, the god of those that are divine and those that are human; he is omnipotent, he is the lord god, he pervades the great universe."
