विन्दं तु निहतं दृष्ट्वा अनुविन्दः प्रतापवान् ॥
हताश्वं रथम् उत्सृज्य गदां गृह्य महाबलः ॥
अभ्यद्रवत संग्रामे भ्रातुर् वधम् अनुस्मरन् ॥
गदया गदिनां श्रेष्ठो नृत्यन्न् इव महारथः ॥

vindaṃ tu nihataṃ dṛṣṭvā anuvindaḥ pratāpavān ||
hatāśvaṃ ratham utsṛjya gadāṃ gṛhya mahābalaḥ ||
abhyadravata saṃgrāme bhrātur vadham anusmaran ||
gadayā gadināṃ śreṣṭho nṛtyann iva mahārathaḥ ||

अनुवाद

Seeing Vinda slain, Anuvinda, the valiant one, abandoned his chariot with its dead horses, seized his mace, and, mighty, rushed into the battle, remembering the killing of his brother — the mace-warrior, the foremost among mace-bearers, the great chariot-warrior, as if dancing.
