अनुविन्दस् तु गदया ललाटे मधुसूदनम् ॥
स्पृष्ट्वा नाकम्पयत् क्रुद्धो मैनाकम् इव पर्वतम् ॥
तस्यार्जुनः शरैः षड्भिर् ग्रीवां पादौ भुजौ शिरः ॥
निचकर्त स संछिन्नः पपाताद्रिचयो यथा ॥

anuvindas tu gadayā lalāṭe madhusūdanam ||
spṛṣṭvā nākampayat kruddho mainākam iva parvatam ||
tasyārjunaḥ śaraiḥ ṣaḍbhir grīvāṃ pādau bhujau śiraḥ ||
nicakarta sa saṃchinnaḥ papātādricayo yathā ||

अनुवाद

Anuvinda, in fury, struck Madhusudana [Krishna] on the forehead with his mace, but did not shake him, no more than [one shakes] Mount Mainaka. Arjuna then, with six arrows, cut through his neck, his two legs, his two arms, and his head; and he, thus cut apart, fell like a heap of rocks.
