"Know that one, the tiger among men, Satvata, the great warrior: he followed behind that great warrior, your younger brother. Therefore Krishna, surely, fights in battle, he skilled in battle. Go there, son of Kunti, where Dhananjaya and Satyaki, of great valor, have gone, if you regard it as your duty. You need not watch over Arjuna so much as you must watch over Satyaki."

The king sends Bhima for Satyaki's sake before all else: "na te arjuno tathā jñeyo… sātyakir yathā" — not so much for Arjuna as for the friend. It is telling that he cares more for the entrusted friend than for his own brother, for it is the friend for whom he bears special responsibility. The verse teaches that responsibility for one whom we ourselves sent into danger weighs heavier: the righteous feel keener anxiety for one entrusted to their care than for one who went by his own will.
