ततः क्रुद्धो महाराज भीमसेनः पराक्रमी ॥
अग्रतः स्यन्दनानीकं शरवर्षैर् अवाकिरत् ॥
ते वध्यमानाः समरे तव पुत्रा महारथाः ॥
भीमं भीमबलं युद्धे ऽयोधयंस् तु जयैषिणः ॥
ततो दुःशासनः क्रुद्धो रथशक्तिं समाक्षिपत् ॥
सर्वपारशवीं तीक्ष्णां जिघांसुः पाण्डुनन्दनम् ॥
आपतन्तीं महाशक्तिं तव पुत्रप्रचोदिताम् ॥
द्विधा चिच्छेद तां भीमस् तद् अद्भुतम् इवाभवत् ॥

bhīmaṃ bhīmabalaṃ yuddhe 'yodhayaṃs tu jayaiṣiṇaḥ ||
tato duḥśāsanaḥ kruddho rathaśaktiṃ samākṣipat ||
sarvapāraśavīṃ tīkṣṇāṃ jighāṃsuḥ pāṇḍunandanam ||
āpatantīṃ mahāśaktiṃ tava putrapracoditām ||
dvidhā ciccheda tāṃ bhīmas tad adbhutam ivābhavat ||

भीमम् भीमबलम् युद्धेbhīmam bhīmabalam yuddheBhima, of terrible strength, in battle; Bhima, of fearsome might, in battle

अनुवाद

Then enraged, O great king, Bhimasena, valiant, showered the array of chariots ahead with rains of arrows. They, being struck down in battle, your sons, the great warriors, fought on against Bhima, of terrible strength, in battle, craving victory. Then Duhshasana, enraged, hurled a chariot-spear, all of iron, sharp, wishing to kill the delight of Pandu.
