यदा त्रीणि समेतानि अन्तरिक्षे पुराणि वै ॥
त्रिपर्वणा त्रिशल्येन तेन तानि बिभेद सः ॥
पुराणि न च तं शेकुर् दानवाः प्रतिवीक्षितुम् ॥
शरं कालाग्निसंयुक्तं विष्णुसोमसमायुतम् ॥
बालम् अङ्कगतं कृत्वा स्वयं पञ्चशिखं पुनः ॥
उमा जिज्ञासमाना वै को ऽयम् इत्य् अब्रवीत् सुरान् ॥

译文

"When the three cities had come together in the sky, with the three-jointed, three-barbed arrow he pierced them. The cities [and] the danavas could not even look upon him — upon the arrow joined with the fire of Kala, furnished with Vishnu and Soma. Having set the child upon his lap, he [Shiva] himself, five-crested once more... Uma, wishing to know, asked the gods, 'Who is this?'"
