सा प्रयत्नेन महता निर्मिता विश्वकर्मणा ॥
त्रिषु लोकेषु नारीणां रूपेणाप्रतिमाभवत् ॥
न तस्याः सूक्ष्मम् अप्य् अस्ति यद् गात्रे रूपसंपदा ॥
न युक्तं यत्र वा दृष्टिर् न सज्जति निरीक्षताम् ॥

sā prayatnena mahatā nirmitā viśvakarmaṇā ||
triṣu lokeṣu nārīṇāṃ rūpeṇāpratimābhavat ||
na tasyāḥ sūkṣmam apy asti yad gātre rūpasaṃpadā ||
na yuktaṃ yatra vā dṛṣṭir na sajjati nirīkṣatām ||

Here her beauty is so complete that it captures every gaze. It is significant that the eye "clings" to her without release: perfect loveliness enthralls the eyes against the will. Here is shown the power of beauty, able to enslave the mind — and therefore dangerous for one not established in self-mastery. Thus scripture shows the charms of Tilottama; and her very beauty will become the instrument of fate for the asuras.
