तत्र दानपतिः धीमान् आजगाम महायशाःtatra dānapatiḥ dhīmān ājagāma mahāyaśāḥthere came the wise lord of gifts, greatly renowned,
अक्रूरः वृष्णिवीराणां सेनापतिः अरिंदमःakrūraḥ vṛṣṇivīrāṇāṃ senāpatiḥ ariṃdamaḥAkrura, commander of the Vrishni heroes, tamer of foes;
अनाधृष्टिः महातेजाः उद्धवः च महायशाःanādhṛṣṭiḥ mahātejāḥ uddhavaḥ ca mahāyaśāḥAnadhrishti of great splendor and Uddhava of great renown,
साक्षात् बृहस्पतेः शिष्यः महाबुद्धिः महायशाःsākṣāt bṛhaspateḥ śiṣyaḥ mahābuddhiḥ mahāyaśāḥdirect disciple of Brihaspati, of great wisdom, greatly renowned;
सत्यकः सात्यकिः च एव कृतवर्मा च सात्वतःsatyakaḥ sātyakiḥ ca eva kṛtavarmā ca sātvataḥSatyaka and Satyaki, and Kritavarma the Satvata,
प्रद्युम्नः च एव साम्बः च निशठः शङ्कुः एव चpradyumnaḥ ca eva sāmbaḥ ca niśaṭhaḥ śaṅkuḥ eva caPradyumna and Samba, Nishatha and Shanku,
चारुदेष्णः च विक्रान्तः झिल्ली विपृथुः एव चcārudeṣṇaḥ ca vikrāntaḥ jhillī vipṛthuḥ eva caCharudeshna the valiant, Jhilli and Viprithu,
सारणः च महाबाहुः गदः च विदुषां वरःsāraṇaḥ ca mahābāhuḥ gadaḥ ca viduṣāṃ varaḥSarana the mighty-armed and Gada, best among the learned;
एते च अन्ये च बहवः वृष्णिभोजान्धकाः तथाete ca anye ca bahavaḥ vṛṣṇibhojāndhakāḥ tathāthese and many others, Vrishnis, Bhojas and Andhakas as well

Here the whole flower of the Yadava line appears for the celebration. It is telling that those who recently were angry now bring dowry: peace turns adversaries into givers. Here reconciliation, guided by the Lord, transforms enmity into generosity. Thus the scripture shows the gathering of the Yadavas, and their abundant gifts mark a heartfelt kinship.
