सिक्तसंमृष्टपन्थानं पुष्पप्रकरशोभितम् ॥
चन्दनस्य रसैः शीतैः पुण्यगन्धैर् निषेवितम् ॥
दह्यतागुरुणा चैव देशे देशे सुगन्धिना ॥
सुसंमृष्टजनाकीर्णं वणिग्भिर् उपशोभितम् ॥
प्रतिपेदे महाबाहुः सह रामेण केशवः ॥
वृष्ण्यन्धकमहाभोजैः संवृतः पुरुषोत्तमः ॥
संपूज्यमानः पौरैश् च ब्राह्मणैश् च सहस्रशः ॥
विवेश भवनं राज्ञः पुरंदरगृहोपमम् ॥

दह्यता अगुरुणा च एव देशे देशे सुगन्धिनाdahyatā aguruṇā ca eva deśe deśe sugandhināwhere fragrant aguru incense was burning in every quarter,
सुसंमृष्टजनाकीर्णं वणिग्भिः उपशोभितम्susaṃmṛṣṭajanākīrṇaṃ vaṇigbhiḥ upaśobhitamfull of well-dressed people, adorned with merchants —
प्रतिपेदे महाबाहुः सह रामेण केशवःpratipede mahābāhuḥ saha rāmeṇa keśavaḥentered it, the mighty-armed Keshava, with Rama,
वृष्ण्यन्धकमहाभोजैः संवृतः पुरुषोत्तमःvṛṣṇyandhakamahābhojaiḥ saṃvṛtaḥ puruṣottamaḥsurrounded by the great Vrishnis, Andhakas and Bhojas, best of men;
संपूज्यमानः पौरैः च ब्राह्मणैः च सहस्रशःsaṃpūjyamānaḥ pauraiḥ ca brāhmaṇaiḥ ca sahasraśaḥhonored by the citizens and by brahmins in the thousands,

अनुवाद

The city, with its watered and swept roads, adorned with scattered flowers, sprinkled with the cool, fragrant essences of sandalwood, where aguru incense burned in every quarter, full of well-dressed people, adorned with merchants — the mighty-armed Keshava entered it with Rama, surrounded by the great Vrishnis, Andhakas and Bhojas; honored by the citizens and by brahmins in the thousands, he entered the palace of the king, resembling the abode of Indra.
